We are excited to be hosting our 4th Annual Panhandle Pulldown, a top rope and bouldering competition on Friday, January 25th. That being said, the gym will close for setting all day Thursday and Friday. You may find some walls closed Wednesday, but the gym will still be open to the public.

Competition starts at 6:30 Friday, and will be open 30 minutes prior for signing in and registration. Raffle tickets will be sold during the competition with proceeds benefiting the Access Fund. The raffle will commence once climbing has finished, and prizes have been donated by:

Yoga Update

We have changed our yoga schedule as well as the cost for a single class.

Yoga classes will now meet on Monday, Tuesdays and Thursday only and still at 6:00 p.m.

You may now purchase a yoga pass for $7 that will exclude climbing; if you would like to include climbing as part of your time at ARCH, it will be the regular day pass rate of $9.

Climbing Team – Update

Are your kiddos bored with their current after school routine? Or are you just looking for something that will royally wear them out? We have the activity for you!

Currently, ARCH has five members on our climbing team this season ranging from eighth grade to high school seniors. But we’d love to have more participants! Climbers are meeting Monday, Wednesday and Fridays after school from 4-6.

Any climbing level is welcome to come and work out with these great kids, but we are seeking serious climbers who are willing to to make a commitment in improve their skills.

Community Climbing Trip – End of Sept.

Plastic’s great and keeps you in shape, but in shape for what? Real rock of course! ARCH is hosting a community climbing trip to El Rito, New Mexico, the last weekend in September (28^th- 30^th). Everyone is welcome as there are copious sport routes ranging from 5.7-5.13’s.

The town of El Rito is located approximately 50 miles north of Santa Fe and the climbing is situated on public lands. While the camping around this BLM crag is quite primitive, it is free to anyone. The approach to this conglomerate cliff band is a meager 15 minute, moderately steep, hike that serves as a great warm up.

Don’t have any gear? No worries, just let us know and we’ll make some arrangements.

Don’t know how to lead? No worries, not only do we have several staff members going out that weekend but there will also be several climbing veterans on the trip. Our staff will be more than happy to set up top ropes for anyone.

Pizza Social – Thurs, 9-20

You’re climbing schedule may be Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday but you’re buddy can only come Monday, Friday and Saturday, which is a bummer. Many of you have requested that we reinstate a social night for all our customers as an excuse to get those of you together that you never see. We heard you loud and clear and want to invite everyone out for pizza on us! The pies arrive at 6:30, so come to see all your friends and meet new ones as well. We have an amazing community at ARCH; and if you’ve never experienced that, then this is the night for you!

ANY ONE interested in participating in our High School climbing team is welcome to attend, even if you’re not in high school. Our first meeting will be on Monday, August 27th at 4:00 p.m.
